William Alexander
(Bef 1703-Abt 1745) |
William AlexanderGeneral Notes: William sailed for Bencoolen on 13 July 1719. There are no records from Bencoolen/Fort Marlborough from that time, but it appears likely that William started a family there as there are reports of Alexanders with the same christian names later in the century, and at least one, and possibly 2 of the St Helena family visited the island. In the consultations of 21 July 1747 mention was made that William had been presumed lost at sea about 18 months earlier, and it is not impossible that he had been visiting St Helena. Noted events in his life were: • Baptism, 1 Apr 1703. 1 • Emigration: to Bencoolen, Sumatra, 13 Jul 1719. 3 |
