Noted events in her life were: • Visited Tunbridge Wells: Came to take the Waters, Jul 1663, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. 1 Hoped the waters would induce her to bear a son and heir. Charles came too but made intermittent returns to London to oversee government business and to call on his mistress. Resided in Mount Ephraim House. Catherine married King Charles II Stuart of England, son of King Charles I Stuart of England and Henrietta Maria. (King Charles II Stuart of England was born in 1630.) |
