Edward VIII, was only King of England for 326 days when he created a royal
scandal, abdicating the throne to his brother, in order to marry the twice
divorced Wallis Warfield Simpson. He was then created the Duke of Windsor
and he resided in France with his wife. They had no children. He served
Britain in WWII, was governor of the Bahamas, and wrote his memoirs which
became films.
