Hercules Du Preez, brother of Philippe, married 1.) Marie Le Fibre 2.) Cornelia Villion (Viljoen). A member of the court of Landdrost and Heemvaden of Stellenbosch and Drakenstein. An elder of the Drakenstein church. Took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation stones of the new church on 06/09/1718. The building was consecrated in June 1720. A Captain in the Burgher cavalry. He took an active part in the movement against Governor Willem Adriaan Van Der Stel, was arrested on 04-02-1707 and released 16-04-1707, upon the recall of the Governor from the Cape. He died on 09-05-1721. 2


Hercules married Marie le Fibre.


Hercules next married Cornelia Viljoen.
